Product Design Changes

This is where Quality Engineering differs from Quality Assurance. One vice-president of engineering was fond of saying, "We don't want to do QA because too often it really means Quality After."

The sooner these functions can be done, the better. The quality process almost always forces design changes, the real question is do you pay a little up front, or a lot later?
